Patented,
low-noise, single-point bearing to eliminate noise and optimise information
retrieval. High mass, perfectly balanced, belt-driven platters to maintain
speed stability.
Solid wood
plinth, stainless steel chassis, suspended sub-chassis and stable arm
platform to provide freedom from vibration and acoustic feedback, and
reliable, consistent performance.
Upgradeable
from Basik version in steps to Lingo version for ultra-precise motor
control and the finest musical detail. The Lingo drives the LP12 motor
with two low distortion sinewaves separated by 90 degrees from two high
voltage amplifiers.
The sinewaves
are derived from a low noise crystal oscillator. A unique circuit monitors
the motor and during start up drives the motor hard but when "lock"
is achieved the power is reduced to a level at which the motor runs
almost silently.
